These bodies of work explore how identity changes under pressure from desire, fantasy, social expectation, and experience.

Together, they trace a movement from possibility, through surrender, to consequence: from imagining another self, to giving in to appetite and impulse, to confronting what remains when experience disrupts the story we tell about who we are.

TRAVEL — Possibility

These drawings explore travel as a space where identity can loosen from its ordinary constraints. Architecture, fashion, leisure, and classical sculpture become part of an imagined self — cultivated, desirable, and open to possibilities that may remain suppressed at home. Travel offers the fantasy of becoming someone else.

DESIRE — Surrender

Desire promises relief from restraint. In these drawings, junk food, sweets, consumer imagery, fashion, and the body become emblems of temptation — seductive pleasures whose appeal lies partly in their excess. They offer the fantasy of abandoning discipline and surrendering instead to appetite, impulse, and immediate gratification.

IDENTITY — Consequence

Identity is reshaped by what happens to us. Through repetition, color, pose, and shifting versions of the figure, these works explore the aftermath of experience — how disappointment, regret, and contradiction fracture the stories we tell about who we are.
